For those that are up on the industry, I don't think there will be a lot of surprises in this list. I was surprised to see the 'fastest' slow car being 8.0 to sixty. It was not that long ago that 8.0 to sixty was considered normal. For reference, the NA Miata is worse than 8.0 to sixty with the 1.6... it would be on the slowest cars of 2015 list if sold today in that form.

I'm kind of surprised about the Colorado/Canyon and the Outback/Legacy, honestly. I mean, I knew the Outback was slow, but not that slow.

Anywhere else in the world 8.0 sec to 60mph is considered fast.

They're missing a ton... just off the top of my head: I4 Frontier, Transit Connect (all the city vans really), i-Miev, XV Crosstrek are all >8 seconds to 60...I'm sure there's many more than that.

Apparently Subaru's 2.5l is hardly enough to shift the heft of the Legacy/Outback.

Deliberately bad layout to maximize the number of clicks.

And to make matters worse, they make no distinction on which transmission had the slower 0-60 time.

They just say shit like "The VW TDI is slow... it does 0-60 in 9 seconds".

Yeah okay... but with which transmission? The manual, automatic or the DSG?

I maintain that my dear mothers '12 Outback diesel is one of the most boring ways to get to 60mph. It's anodyne in its power delivery and it beeps at you for every fucking thing.
